For four decades, the Foundation has worked to involve the public in the process of scientific investigation and continues to invite school children and curious adults to participate in and make their own contributions to our evolving understanding of human origins.

We encourage you to investigate the human story on your own. To help you do this, we have collaborated with scientific colleagues around the world to develop the following resources for your personal exploration:

  • Recommended Reading Lists
  • Internet Resources Relating to Human Evolution
  • Visual Glossary of Anthropological Terminology

Our goal is to keep this information both up-to-date and accurate, if you have suggestions we invite you to submit them to media (at) leakeyfoundation.org.

In addition, we are pleased to announce the Leakey Schools' Program, which aims to furthering the resources available to science teachers across the United States. The Leakey Schools' Program brings world renowned scientists into high school classrooms for lectures on the latest news and research in human origins. This program allows students to gain a first-hand look at fieldwork and careers in science by offering them a once in a lifetime opportunity to interact with the scientists responsible for the latest discoveries in human origins.
